Millepiedi is a heavy-duty super-lightweight extensible workbench support structure.

When collapsed, Millepiedi is barely bigger than a few folded umbrellas strapped together (23x17x84cm) and it weighs only 9 kilos which makes it possible to store, carry and deploy it with minimal effort.

When fully folded Millepiedi is incredibly compact

Millepiedi is lightweight and super easy to transport

When fully extended, it reaches 110x160cm and is meant to be paired with panels of countless different materials and types, to create an incredibly effective workbench anywhere, in no time.

Tiling, paving and landscaping contractors may also enjoy our Slatted Bench Upgrade Kit to upgrade Millepiedi into a full-metal “big formats workbench”.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How large can Millepiedi grow once extended ?

Millepiedi reaches a maximum extension of 110 x 160 cm. It is therefore perfect to support work surfaces smaller or even somewhat longer or wider then that.

Can I use Millepiedi [also] to support a small table, like… 40×60 cm?

Of course you can, all it takes is extending Millepiedi just the size you need.

How tall is Millepiedi ?

Millepiedi’s legs are 84 cm high. And by the way: thanks to our proprietary sliding fixings design Millepiedi will keep its height unchanged regardless of its extension.

Which “table” can I lay onto a Millepiedi? Why don’t you sell one?

Any solid-enough panel will do: a spare wood board, a leftover polistyrene or rock wool panel like those used for insulation, a ceramic tile – maybe an uncleanly-cut one – from a previous job… all these are good examples, and can all easily be found in quantity, and for free, on any building site. In most cases you won’t need to “buy” one from us (or from anybody).

Is Millepiedi solid enough?

Millepiedi is extremely stable and solid once deployed and does not require reinforcements or other add-ons for all ordinary activities. And by the way, it bears loads up to 150Kg per square meter.

To get even more resilience in conjunction with particular jobs, however, we have Telescopic Perimetral Fixings (art.  1809 11, available separately). These can be installed on the four sides of Millepiedi’s structure. Their sliding design will easily adapt, and re-adapt, to Millepiedi’s effective extension.

Help! My floor is not flat, and some of my Millepiedi’s legs are not resting down as expected.

You can equip Millepiedi with Adjustable Feet (art 1809 10, available separately), which will allow for millimetric bottom extension adjustement on each leg.

So for example a depression someplace on the ground can be compensated by simply extending the adjustable leg feet insisting on that point. Or, if a part of the ground is in relief compared to the rest, adjusting some legs’ feet shorter while leaving all others longer will stabilise and level-off the structure. Millepiedi’s Adjustable Feet can compensate up to +/- 2.5cm level differences.

eir sliding design will easily adapt, and re-adapt, to Millepiedi’s effective extension.

A laminated wood board tended to slip sideways when I laid it onto Millepiedi.

This is what we purposed Anti-Skid Upper Terminals (art 1809 12, available separately) for. Their open-cup shapes and the gummy material they are made contribute to grip onto flat finishes, like laminates for example, and deliver comfortable stability to some types of panels once positioned onto Millepiedi.

I’m into big tiles processing. Can I put metal slats onto Millepiedi, same as those I find on “big formats work tables”?

Surely! Indeed our Slatted Bench Upgrade Kits (Art 1809 20 and 1809 21) provides exactly for that. These separately available packages include two specially designed profiles to be installed onto Millepiedi’s shorter sides, and five or seven full-aluminium “slats” to be installed on top.

Once upgraded like that, Millepiedi will offer a 90 x 180 cm or 150 x 180 effective surface ideal to work on solid, flat materials such as ceramic tilesporcelain or marble slabsconcrete pavescardboard panels, and much, much more.

The slats can freely slide across, and be locked into position following convenience, all with zero effort, to optimally support each particular material size for diverse activities such as cuttingboringgrindingcleaningprocessing

Our slats are very specially designed for the purpose: they are entirely made of extruded aluminium profiles, offering light weightnegligible flexibility, and they are impervious to rust.

Each slat is 180cm long, 4 cm wide by 4 cm thick, and when a group of them is installed they offer ample flat support for large format tilesslabs and panels, while also representing a solid, reliable grip point to all those specialised tools regularly needed to work from atop.

Finally, each 180cm slats is in reality made of two same-section 90cm profiles, firmly fixed together, yet easy to separate, to facilitate transport and stocking at the end of the work.

How about supporting those huge 320 x 160 cm porcelain slabs ?

To properly support those we recommend adopting two Slatted Bench Millepiedi 150 x 180 units, installed one alongside the other. Special fixings are also available to allow for solidly joining together the Slats from the two units when required.

Slats are great but what if I need to “cut across”?

The question refers to cutting a panel or a slab directly laid onto a Slatted Bench by means of an electrical diamond tool. In such case, depending on the direction of the cut, there would be a risk of damaging the underlying slats (and the diamond blade), and that’s the purpose of Elevated Tile Rests (Art 1809 19, available separately).

Once easily fitted onto the slats’ upper sides, these small blocks can be quickly positioned and locked in a convenient pattern vis a vis the particular material dimension. Once laid onto such rests the slab will stay elevated vs the slatted surface, avoiding cut-through related issues.
