Description

Electrical bridge wet saw machine ideal for cuts on ceramic, thin and thick porcelain, cotto tiles and bricks.

Equipped with a 2.0HP (1.5KW) 220-230V engine, with POLY-V belt transmission, supports Ø 250 and 300 mm blades.  Depending on blade size it can cut up to 90 (115) mm deep in a single run, or 160 mm in a dual run.

Available in three standard models capable of different max cutting lengths: 70cm, 100cm or 130cm. It can also be ordered in longer versions, up to 200cm maximum recommended cut length.

ALUMINIUM CHASSIS

The machine’s main chassis is made of extruded aluminum profiles, and is therefore immune to rust, much more robust, and even much lighterweight when compared to traditional and/or lower quality machines, based on iron structures. The advantage is terms of weight is significant to a contractor’s daily acivity: a table saw weighing barely more than 55kg like ours is much easier to manage on a building site vs alternatives weighing more than twice as much. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, aluminium profiles are virtually undeformable even when the machine is heavily loaded and placed on uneven surfaces, all this resulting in much higher cut precision over the entire product lifetime.

WORK SURFACE

The work surface is made of stainless steel, which helps on minimising friction with cut material during positioning. It is split into two halves, both easy to lift to facilitare underlying water tank cleansing. Worktable overall width is a generous 51cm, and can furtherly be extended by adopting side extension support accessories available separately.

SLIDING BRIDGE AND MOVING PARTS

The “bridge” is the bar supporting the cutting head’s horizontal sliding. It is made of an integral 40x80mm extruded aluminum profile. Cutting head’s movement is granted by 4 armored stainless steel ball bearings, running on 2 rails – one above the bridge, one underneath – also made of 100% stainless steel. Opposite to what happens on machines adopting nylon wheels regularly wearing out over time and usage, our bearings offer uncomparably superior wear resistance, and virtually eliminate periodical calibration requirements.

CABLE CHAIN

Electrical cables, and the water pipe feeding the cutting unit are protected by a robust, flexible hard plastic chain, assembled as to always keep above the sliding bridge thereby offering protection from potentially severe damages originating during cut or transport. The chain features single-serviceable links.

BELT TRANSMISSION

Transmission architecture based on a high-quality POLY-V belt offers higher torque, resulting in superior cut efficiency compared to direct-to-disc transmission on even engine power conditions. Additionally the engine’s bulk is brought away from cut position, resulting in higher cut depth possibilities.

WATER TANK

The water tank is made of Polyethylene, a very strong plastic material featuring superior resistance to low and high temperatures, and non-deformable. Unlike its lower quality metallic alternatives it is impervious to rust, and does not leak. Equipped with a handy screw-cap, virtually impossible to accidentally be removed, it is easy to clean.

MITRE (45°) CUT

Horizontal sliding bridge and cutting head can easily be side-reclined to execute 45° (“mitre”) cuts. A plug-in extension applicable to base squares is supplied to extend them either side and better support mitreing on larger slabs. For the most demanding cases optional side tables and extended counter-square bars are also separately available.

VERTICAL HEAD TILTING SYSTEM

Cutting unit’s built-in vertical tilting system enables the operator to execute box cuts, or other special cuts, and to calibrate cut thickness to the desired value in total safety and ease.

MECHANICAL SAFETY GUARDS

Bilateral tilting metal protections are installed at the blade sides to reduce water dispersion, water splash, and moreover to contribute protecting the operator from accidental blade or debris contact. Electrical cables and water pipe feeding the cutting unit stay on their turn protected within a very robust yet flexible plastic chain.

ELECTRICAL SUBSYSTEM

The main electrical switch includes a magneto-thermal safety device protecting the engine from overheats/overloads. Also, a release coil prevents from accidental switch-ons following unexpected power supply breaks. In case of erratic electricity supply flow – e.g. due to an underspecced generator, or a too long / too thin power chord – as well as in case of engine overheating the switch’s Green button will automatically go off, thereby protecting the user and the machine itself from the dangers of continued operations under non-regular conditions. The same happens in case of sudden electrical supply loss, to avoid the engine to restart without notice as soon as the line is restored.

MAGNETIC INDUCTION WATER PUMP

Due to its particular technology, our pump will not fail/burn even in case of hard jamming. Unlike traditional electrical pumps it is extremely reliable, and maintenance free.

LEGS AND WHEELS

To facilitate handling and transportation all legs are retractable vs the work surface to reduce overall system size. They also feature a special fall-protection system easing operations even to a lone user. Rear legs are equipped with wheels to ease local machine movements.
